How much do you really know about your car? Here are some suprising facts about the machines that we depend on everyday.

• Make Yourself Comfortable
  Before starting to drive, make all necessary adjustments. Make sure the driver's seat, steering wheel, head restraints and mirrors are positioned for comfort and visibility.
• Seat Belts Save Lives
  Buckle up - yourself and your children. Make sure lap belts are snug and shoulder belts are pulled over the top of the shoulder and across the chest to distribute force in case of an accident. Applicable state laws should be followed when it comes to the use of child seats.
• Never, Ever
  Never drink and drive, and never drive when fatigued. Cell phone usage while driving has been shown to impair alertness and reduce overall safety.
• Expect the Unexpected
  Always drive defensively. Observe the rules of the road, be patient, and avoid aggressive drivers who speed, tailgate and otherwise endanger themselves and other drivers.
