The 2025 Lincoln Corsair vs. the Old MKC: What's Changed?

The 2025 Lincoln Corsair was introduced in 2020 as an update to the Lincoln MKC, which retired in 2019. Find out how the new version of this luxury compact SUV updates the classic MKC crossover.

2025 Lincoln Corsair vs. the Old Lincoln MKC: What’s New for This Luxury Crossover?

Power and Performance

The MKC offered two turbocharged engines, one with 245 horsepower and one providing 285 hp. Both pair with a six-speed automatic transmission. The Corsair lineup comes with a single 250-hp turbo-four and an eight-speed automatic. Both models feature standard front-wheel or available all-wheel drive. The Corsair improves the MKC’s highway efficiency from 27 to 30 miles per gallon. It also adds selectable drive modes to the base model.

Interior Space

Both compact SUVs seat up to five people. The MKC gives you more than 25 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row and more than 53 cubic feet when you fold down the back seats. The Corsair expands your space to nearly 28 cubic feet in the rear and almost 58 cubic feet with the second row folded flat.

Comfort and Convenience

Each crossover provides standard luxury features like heated, power-adjustable front seats and synthetic leather upholstery. Both models offer ventilated front seats and a heated steering wheel, while the MKC is also available with heated rear seats. The Corsair and its predecessor also come with standard remote start, keyless entry, and rear parking sensors. The newer version of this crossover lets you use your smartphone to access your vehicle.

Infotainment Tech

You’ll have modern connectivity features in both of these SUVs. The MKC features an 8-inch touchscreen with the SYNC 3 infotainment system, dual USB ports, Android Auto, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a 10-speaker stereo with satellite radio.

The Corsair expands your standard touchscreen to 13.2 inches. It also adds a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and an extra USB port, with nine stereo speakers instead of 10. Integrated navigation is standard in the Corsair and optional in the MKC.

Driver Assistance Features

Some MKC models come with driver assistance tech. The 2019 lineup offered options like blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, road departure mitigation, and rear cross-traffic alert. These features come in every 2025 Corsair, along with additional safety systems such as pre-collision assist and a post-crash alert system.

The 2025 Corsair is also available with the Co-Pilot360 2.1 Vision system. It incorporates a 360-degree camera, reverse braking assist, and front and side parking sensors.
