4) Village Creek State Park

This park is located in the Piney Woods 10 miles north of Beaumont next to the Big Thicket. Rentals of watercraft are available daily from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm weather permitting, so be sure to remember your swimsuit. The rentals include stand-up paddleboards, one and two-person kayaks, and canoes.

5) Sea Rim State Park

This beach park is found along the Gulf of Mexico in southern Jefferson County. After recovering from multiple hurricanes, Sea Rim State Park has reopened! This incredible park includes 5.2 miles of shoreline and 4,000 acres of marshland. Enjoy the park camping sites, a lodge, or primitive camping on the beach.
