Examples of Lincoln Maintenance to Keep Your Vehicle in Peak Condition

Regular maintenance is the key to a long and healthy life for your Lincoln. It ensures that minor issues never develop into problems, and your Lincoln continues to run perfectly. As your Lincoln dealer, we want to tell you about some of the types of Lincoln maintenance we provide. Alternator Repair and Replacement The alternator is a generator in your Lincoln that produces electricity for all your vehicle's systems. It's a tough, hard-wearing component that has a relatively long life of approximately eight years. Its parts can wear out or become damaged, and this will affect the electricity supply. The rectifier, for example, converts AC to DC for the vehicle systems. If it's damaged, numerous systems will immediately shut down as they can't use the available AC. An old alternator will slow down and steadily produce less and less electricity than it previously did. When the alternator can't supply enough power for all the systems that require it, electrical glitches will appear and become more serious and frequent as the alternator continues to fail. We can replace damaged components and test the alternator. If it's seriously worn, we can quickly replace it, and any electrical issue will disappear. AC Leak Repair A leaking AC in the middle of a Texas summer can be unbearable, but we can quickly repair it if it happens. The AC uses refrigerant to remove moisture from the air and rapidly chill it so the cabin remains cool on even the hottest day. Damage to the AC system, for example, from a stone or other hard object thrown up from the surface, can cause a leak. You can't see a leak, as refrigerant evaporates when it's exposed to air, but you'll feel the cabin rapidly become warmer as the AC can't cool the air. Our technicians trace the leak by adding a UV dye to the refrigerant and watching its progress through the system using a UV viewer. Once we identify the leak site, we'll repair it and then refill the refrigerant. Tire Rotations Regular tire rotations extend their life by reducing unnecessary wear and tear. Each tire position generates a particular wear pattern, and if a tire remains in the same position for too long, repeated damage to the same sections will cause leaks or a blowout. Rotating the tires prevents this, as each tire is moved to a new position. The specific position a tire moves to depends on your drivetrain, but relocating them ensures each tire wears down at a similar rate. Slowing tire damage makes driving safer and gives you more time to plan for their eventual replacement. Lincoln Leasing service

4 Benefits of Leasing a 2025 Lincoln

When leasing a Lincoln, you can save yourself a great deal of money, drive a higher-end Lincoln, and easily upgrade to the latest model every few years. Here are the benefits in detail. Pay Less for Luxury Financially astute drivers often choose to lease because it costs less than buying. Both the initial payment at drive-off and the continued monthly payments are lower, sometimes by 50 percent or more. These cost savings may allow you to afford to drive a Lincoln. Such exceptional luxury vehicles have a high price tag when new. Drop by our dealership to see how much more affordable your favorite Lincoln becomes with a lease. Drive a Premium Trim If you're already considering buying a Lincoln, perhaps you can set your sights higher with a lease. If you're thinking of buying a 5-seater Corsair, you might instead lease a 7-seater Aviator or even an 8-seater Navigator: the height of full-sized SUV luxury. Some drivers fall in love with one particular Lincoln model, such as the gorgeous, tech-rich Nautilus. The discounted driving costs you enjoy with a lease could put you behind the wheel of a more powerful, sophisticated Nautilus model like the Lincoln Black Label trim. Keep Your Options Open When leasing, you're less committed to the car or SUV, which allows for greater flexibility later on. For instance, when the lease ends, you can simply return the vehicle and immediately lease the next one with zero hassle. When you own your Lincoln, you'd first need to find a buyer for the older vehicle first, which can take time. Also, bear in mind that leasing doesn't rule out a purchase. Leasing agreements typically have a buyout option that allows you to pay the remainder of the Lincoln's value at any time to buy and keep it. This means you could lease for a while at first to get to know the vehicle before you decide to buy or return it. Enjoy State-of-the-Art Tech As a leading luxury brand, Lincoln is a pioneer in clever automotive tech that boosts the vehicle's performance, safety, entertainment, comfort, and aesthetics. Each year, this tech becomes more and more sophisticated, which is a huge selling point for many Lincoln drivers, who love the way these features enhance their daily driving experience. Leasing repeatedly means you're always driving one of the most technologically advanced vehicles in the world. With smooth, hassle-free trade-ins every few years, you can keep looking forward to all the tech goodies you'll gain in your next Lincoln. Learn More About Leasing a Lincoln Today If you're new to leasing, it's a good idea to sit down with one of our knowledgeable staff. We can talk you through your options in full. Lincoln Brakes

Signs You Need a Brake Service at Your Lincoln Dealer

Healthy brakes are essential for safe driving, as they ensure you can control your speed and stop whenever needed. As time passes, brake components will become worn or damaged, and your brakes will become less responsive. As your Lincoln dealership, we want you to know a few signs you need to visit us for a brake service. Soft Brake Pedal When you push down on the brake pedal, you'll feel resistance, which increases as you apply more pressure. This resistance you feel is generated by the pressurized brake fluid. The fluid is highly pressurized as it has to force the brake pads against the rotors, so the brake pads can generate the friction that stops the wheels. If you feel less resistance than normal from the brake pedal, it's called a soft brake pedal. This could mean a blockage in one or more of the brake hoses, or there's a brake fluid leak. We advise contacting us ASAP so our technicians can investigate. A soft brake pedal means the brakes will be slower to respond, and this could result in an accident. Pulling to One Side The braking system is designed so that all four calipers are pushed against the rotors simultaneously. This ensures smooth and quick braking. If you find your Lincoln turns to one side when you brake, one of the calipers isn't engaging as it should, and its wheel continues to move until brought to a stop by the other wheels. Pulling to one side is potentially dangerous, as delayed brake responsiveness could be the difference between a near miss and an avoidable collision. It can be caused by a damaged or rusted caliper that doesn't clamp against its rotor, or there could be an air bubble or other blockage in the hose leading to the caliper. We'll investigate and fix the problem. Vibrations When You Brake If you feel vibrations through the pedal when you hit the brakes, you could have one or more uneven rotors. In time, the rotor's locations mean rust can develop on them due to driving through mud or water. The heat caused by braking can also cause some of the pad's adhesive to liquify and spread across a rotor. When it dries, it leaves behind irregular patches on the rotor surface. If a caliper grabs an irregular surface, it produces a jolt you'll feel through the pedal. We fix this problem by resurfacing the affected rotors, which involves removing the top layer of metal to make the rotor surface smooth again. If you have a brake problem, our Lincoln-trained technicians can repair it so you can drive safely. Contact our service department today at Bayway Lincoln in Houston, TX.

Fresh oil that's free of debris allows your engine to run more efficiently, which can lead to better acceleration, smoother handling, and reduced engine strain. Tips, Tricks, and Things to Keep In Mind When scheduling an oil change, it's important to consider how often you need to change it. With the use of newer synthetic oils and synthetic oil blends, the distance you can go without having to change it is getting farther and farther. However, your owner's manual will have the manufacturer's recommendations for changing your vehicle's oil, and it serves as a good rule of thumb when you're unsure. There are also a few different types of oil you can use for your engine. Traditional motor oil is usually a safe bet for all gasoline engines, but requires more frequent changes. A synthetic blend of motor oil combines traditional and synthetic oil, and is best for vehicles that do quite a bit of driving. Fully synthetic oil is best for newer cars, as the engine technology is typically based on efficiency. Delaying an oil change is a surefire way to land a costly trip to the mechanic.
