A First Look at the 2023 Lincoln Aviator

The 2023 Lincoln Aviator is the right vehicle for someone who desires a comfortable ride, an upscale interior, and lots of technology packed into a mid-size three-row SUV. With a variety of trims available and lots of packages to choose from, it's worth taking a closer look at this car. A First Look at the 2023 Lincoln Aviator: Top 4 Features 1. Its Stellar Performance Once the Aviator gets going, you'll find there's a lot of power and speed in it. You can get from 0 to 60 mph in just under six seconds. Its braking power is strong if you have a firm foot, and cornering is smooth and feels a little exciting due to the large size of the vehicle. It's pleasing to drive if you like something large and in charge. more 2. Its Comfortable Ride Experience The 2023 Aviator is reminiscent of older Lincoln models. It feels big and heavy when you're inside it, so you'll feel very protected in the comfort of its cushy seats. Traffic and wind noise will bother you minimally, so it's easy to have quiet conversations even with people in the third row. Hitting any bumps won't disturb the flow of conversation, either, as they're absorbed very well. If you get chilly or too warm, then climate control does an excellent job of keeping everybody in the cabin comfortable. Seat heating and cooling are available in the front, too. 3. Its Modern Technology The infotainment system in the Aviator is excellent for people who aren't the biggest fans of the overly complex features many infotainment centers bring. The Aviator keeps it basic yet still has everything you need, such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.  When you're not syncing your phone to it, you can use voice controls that let you switch radio stations and adjust the settings in your vehicle. The text on the screen is large, and it's a touchscreen, so there are no clunky buttons to deal with. The large screen and lack of complicated controls make it a highly approachable system for people to learn. 4. It's Top Notch Safety Technology On top of the infotainment system, there's a lot of safety technology that you'll find helpful and up-to-date. There's a lane-centering system that prevents you from drifting into the next lane, and it works subtly so you'll hardly notice it helping you. One of the other most helpful features is the adaptive cruise control, which works well even in heavy traffic. Does this sound like the kind of vehicle you've been looking for? Stop by Bayway Lincoln to take it out for a test drive, and if you have any further questions, then let us know. Image Via

Is Your Lincoln's Engine Warning Light Turning On? 3 Possible Reasons

The engine warning light is one of the numerous lights on your Lincoln dash. This light illuminates the other dash lights when your engine starts. Within seconds, the light should go out. If the light stays on, you should visit your Lincoln dealer ASAP, as it suggests a problem with our engine. These are some of the problems that will cause the engine light to come on. Advice From Your Lincoln Dealer: 3 Reasons Your Engine Warning Light Is On more Blocked Catalytic Converter The job of the catalytic converter is to remove dangerous chemicals from the exhaust smoke. The combustion process that enables your Lincoln to drive so smoothly and gracefully also produces dangerous chemicals. Carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, and other toxic chemicals are created during the combustion process. These chemicals enter the converter and are turned into water and harmless chemicals. A byproduct of the conversion process is carbon, which can accumulate and block the exit of the converter. This blockage forces the gases back into your engine. Their presence increases the pressure in your engine which increases fuel consumption and reduces performance. These issues cause the engine light to come on. We can fix this problem by clearing the blockage. Transmission Problems The engine and transmission have a symbiotic relationship. The engine generates large amounts of unfocused power, and the transmission converts this power into a usable form via its gears. Without their relationship, your car would never move. Your engine and transmission are also physically connected by the torque converter. These close connections mean that a transmission problem will automatically affect your engine. A transmission fluid leak, worn gears, or a problem with the transmission computer are some of the problems that will place additional strain on your engine. Sensors in your car monitor these and other components for signs of trouble. A transmission issue will automatically illuminate the engine light till we fix the issue. Loose Gas Cap It may seem strange, but if your gas cap isn't securely closed, you can trigger the engine light. Many drivers believe the gap is merely to prevent gas or fumes from leaving the tank and causing airborne pollution. The gas cap is the access point to fuel your car, but it's also responsible for controlling pressure in the fuel system. The gas cap should be securely locked into place, and its seal prevents air from entering the tank. A secure seal ensures that the fuel system has sufficient pressure to move the gas from the tank to the intake manifold to prepare for combustion. Without this pressure, your engine could misfire or stall. Sensors will notice the loose cap, and the light will come on. If your engine light illuminates, call our service department right away at Bayway Lincoln.
