The University of Houston produces this annual event at Miller Outdoor Theatre in Hermann Park. Houston has held this Shakespeare Festival for 49 consecutive seasons.

All shows take place at 8:15 p.m. Performances are free, but you need to reserve your spot in advance at the Miller Outdoor Theatre website. The theater is located at 6000 Hermann Park Dr south of the McGovern Centennial Gardens and the Museum of Natural Science.

You’ll find Blue Willow Bookshop in a tiny corner space that was once home to Musabelle Books. Brazos Bookstore carries both classic and modern fiction, art books, literature, architecture monographs, non-fiction texts, and children’s books. The store holds many community events including book clubs, author readings, and kids’ activities like ice cream socials.
